Rising light - 8"x11" unframed
Acrylic, mixed media, and collage on heavy, fine art paper (300 gsm). The collage is done using pieces of hand-painted rice paper. I love this paper for it’s ability to “melt” into the surface while providing a glimpse of the layers underneath.
This painting is from my “Oaxaca” series, inspired by memories of travels in Mexico.
The piece has a thin white border of approximately 1/2”. With the border, it is 9” x 12”. The size of the actual artwork (without border) is 8” x 11”. It is titled and signed on the back.
Note: because this is an original, not a print, the white border, while reasonably tidy, is not 100% sharp all the way around. This is part of the unique history of the painting, but can be easily covered up with a mat if you prefer a clean edge.
