It’s so interesting the opportunities that find you once you start putting yourself out there. If you’d told me at the beginning of this year that my art would be on TV, I wouldn’t have believed it. But in mid-October, 2024, my art was featured on Season 5, episode 7 of the HGTV show Unsellable Houses!

How did this come about? Well, in March of this year, I was contacted by someone from Lamb & Co., a real estate and design firm based in Snohomish, WA. They’d seen my work online and wanted to know if I’d be interested in loaning them 15-20 pieces of art for staging and filming a home to be featured in the upcoming season of Unsellable Houses.

My first thought was, “is this for real?” I’d never heard of the show or Lamb & Co. Some quick research into both showed that these were both kind of a big deal! My husband and I watched a couple of episodes of the show and liked it. I started getting excited.

If you don’t already know, Unsellable Houses, is a fun real estate and home design show where twin sisters Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis invest their own money to help homeowners renovate and get top dollar for their homes. All of the homes featured are in small towns and communities north of Seattle.

I love that Lyndsay and Leslie decided to support their community by sourcing artwork for the show from Pacific NW artists.

In April, I dropped off 15-20 paintings at the beautiful Lamb & Co. design center in Snohomish and picked them up 2 months later once filming was completed.

After that, things were quiet until mid-October when I was notified the day before my episode aired.

Watching the episode was such a thrill and somewhat surreal. It was almost like being on TV myself! I loved seeing how they combined pieces in ways I never would've thought of. I especially love how they placed my painting Seafoam (below) over this gorgeous clawfoot tub.

My art is featured in every room on Season 5, Episode 7 (Modern Mediterranean). You can stream it on Max (formerly HBOMax), Discovery+, HGTVGO, and Prime. It's also featured on the "Shop the Look" section of their blog, with images of my art linking to my website.
